I came into the state of awareness through a surrender to the natural world. And it made me a new kind of human being. It cracked open the chains of civilisation in my body and awakened my sensuousness. It allowed a deeper identity to take place inside me. It healed deep wounds of separation and allowed suppressed feelings to come up and out. It revealed my true feelings, including the ones that are forbidden towards the civilised world. I felt the world inside me and I could feel the world feeling me. This deep sense of interconnectedness happened alongside a deep love and empathy. There is a relationship with nature now, where there was numbness before. I know she has wisdom and beauty and everything I need to be nourished from within. It is all inside me. The immersion in nature opens a sincere pathway to a world that cannot be seen, or rationalised, for me. With the awakening of the senses, my extrasensory perception awakes. The access to intuition, visions and inner knowledge is easier. I no longer seek to block out my sense of sound, to narrow my sense of sight, to avoid my sense of taste and scent, or suppress my sense of touch. I am now wholly alive, at least much of the time, because I choose to be. Sometimes effortlessly, sometimes effortfully. And the everyday path to home, a clearer and lighter walk.

Poetry in prose! A beautiful piece!
